Cervical dystonia is a condition which involves involuntary muscle contractions in the neck. This leads to painful twisting and turning action of the head towards one side. Involuntary leaning of the head is another characteristic of this disorder. The severity of the disease saturates after a certain point in time. It affects women more commonly than men. In rare cases, this disease may spread to surrounding regions such as jaw, face, arms and trunk.
